USER GUIDE – INSTALLATION AND USE INSTRUCTIONS

ORIGO Holds Climbing Holds

  1. GENERAL INFORMATION (MANDATORY READING)

ORIGO Holds climbing holds are intended exclusively for use on climbing walls built in accordance with standards.

The holds are not toys and are not intended for children to play with without supervision.

Incorrect installation or use may cause:

damage to the holds,

damage to the climbing wall,

physical injury to users.

Failure to follow these instructions may void the warranty.

  1. LIABILITY

Installation must be carried out by:

a qualified person,

or an experienced installer/technician.

ORIGO Holds does not assume responsibility for:

incorrect installation,

damage due to incorrect use,

damage to the walls or structure.

  1. SUITABLE CLIMBING WALL

Handholds must be mounted on:

multiplex climbing panels,

or other construction intended for climbing.

The wall must have:

properly installed T-nuts,

appropriate thickness and load-bearing capacity.

Do not install handholds on:

gypsum boards,

thin or unstable materials,

untested substrates.

  1. TYPES OF INSTALLATION

4.1 Bolt-on holds

The most common mounting method.

The following is used:

an allen screw (most often M10),

of the appropriate length depending on the thickness of the wall and the handhold.

Procedure:

align the handhold with the hole,

tighten the screw with a hand tool,

tighten firmly, but without excessive force.

Warning: Over-tightening may damage the hold, deform the insert or damage the T-nut.

4.2 Screw-on holds

Suitable for:

smaller holds,

additional anti-rotation.

Use:

quality wood screws,

of the appropriate length.

Screws must not:

protrude from the wall,

cause cracks in the material.

  1. ANTI-ROTATION HOLDS

Some holds have:

additional holes for wood screws,

designed to prevent rotation.

Especially recommended for:

larger holds,

macro holds,

intensively used walls.

  1. BLOCKED T-NUTS

If the T-nut is damaged or rotates:

DO NOT forcefully tighten.

Recommended solutions:

replace the T-nut,

access from the back of the wall,

use the appropriate tool.

Never:

glue the screws,

use improvised solutions.

  1. INSTALLATION ON WOOD WALLS

The wooden wall must be:

sufficiently thick,

without cracks,

stablely fixed.

It is recommended:

use of T-nuts,

combination with wood screws against rotation.

  1. REGULAR INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE

We recommend:

regular visual inspection,

checking for tightness.

The handrails must be:

cleaned regularly,

replaced if visibly damaged.

Do not use handrails that:

are cracked,

have a damaged insert,

show signs of structural wear.

  1. REMOVAL AND MOVEMENT OF HOLDINGS

When removing:

Unscrew the screws gradually,

Do not use force or impact.

After relocation:

Always recheck the tightness,

Check the stability.

  1. WARRANTY

The warranty is valid only if used and assembled correctly.

The warranty does not apply in the case of:

incorrect assembly,

excessive tightening,

use of unsuitable screws,

mechanical damage due to incorrect use.
