4.1 Bolt-on holds
The most common mounting method.
The following is used:
an allen screw (most often M10),
of the appropriate length depending on the thickness of the wall and the handhold.
Procedure:
align the handhold with the hole,
tighten the screw with a hand tool,
tighten firmly, but without excessive force.
Warning: Over-tightening may damage the hold, deform the insert or damage the T-nut.
4.2 Screw-on holds
Suitable for:
smaller holds,
additional anti-rotation.
Use:
quality wood screws,
of the appropriate length.
Screws must not:
protrude from the wall,
cause cracks in the material.
Some holds have:
additional holes for wood screws,
designed to prevent rotation.
Especially recommended for:
larger holds,
macro holds,
intensively used walls.
If the T-nut is damaged or rotates:
DO NOT forcefully tighten.
Recommended solutions:
replace the T-nut,
access from the back of the wall,
use the appropriate tool.
Never:
glue the screws,
use improvised solutions.
The wooden wall must be:
sufficiently thick,
without cracks,
