Single texture holds have a textured entire surface. This ensures a consistent grip regardless of the position of the hand or foot. They are ideal for training, long lines and intensive use in climbing centers. They allow the climber to have a reliable grip even when tired or in poor positions.
Dual texture holds have a combination of textured and smooth surfaces. The texture is where you want to direct your grip, while the rest of the surface is more slippery.
